"Volunteers don't get paid. Not because they're worthless, but because they're priceless."
Sherry Anderson, author

There are numerous opportunities for you to get involved with the club - and not all of them involve getting up early on a Saturday morning! This includes:

Helping at home and/or away matches
See procedures for more information.

Umpiring games
It is hoped that we will be able to put on a rules night which will cover the basics of umpiring. This will be more than enough for anyone to umpire an S1/S2 game:
S1 - a coached games, give support to both teams.
S2 - a certain amount of help is necessary, ensure the games are safe and free flowing.
S3 - a greater emphasis is placed on rules.
Seniors - no coaching, proper umpiring required.

Managing teams
This includes encouraging the girls during matches and providing simple basic help and instructions during and at half-time in games. No previous hockey experience is required - just a willingness to learn the basics of the game.

Fund raising
We are always on the look-out for sponsorship opportunities with local businesses and for new ideas for fund-raising events. We also require support with our annual fundraiser, the January coffee morning.
